Arenal de Son Saura, with two reefs on both sides of its entrance, is no use as a refuge. Cala Pudent, on the other hand, is a good refuge for small boats ans is exposed to the NE and E winds.
Fornells is the third natural port of Menorca. Its importance lies in being one of the few shelters that exist on the north coast. Its mouth is orientated towards the north wind and its bottom is mud, which makes it difficult to anchor in strong winds.
On the W side is a small dockand its urban center, which maintains the charm of a fishing village and enjoys great prestige for its restaurants -where you can taste the delicious lobster stew- and water sports that prracticed at the bay.
