About us
Nautic Center was initially launched in the 1960s under the name of Motonáutica Basilio, as a business specialising in the sale and repair of boats.
In 1988, with the incorporation of the second generation of the Sastre family, the company’s name was changed to Nautic Center Menorca. Later, the facilities were relocated from number 108 in San Manuel Street in Mahón to the city’s Industrial Estate. By now, the services available to clients had expanded considerably.
Nautic Center’s headquarters are located at Carrer de S’Esperó 16 in the Mahón Industrial Estate on a plot measuring 6,500 m2 of land, with a 1,500 m2 building that houses a showroom displaying boats and accessories in addition to space for workshops and offices. With a team of more than 35 professionals in all departments – sales, administration, quality and environment, mechanics, maintenance and cleaning work – offering the best service to its clients throughout the year.
Nautic Center then went on to acquire several warehouses in the Industrial Estate in Sant Lluís, Menorca, comprising a total of more than 9,000 m2 of covered area and a further 23,000 m2 of land, which is used for all types of boat maintenance, storage and repair work. In September 2007, a new facility was launched in the same Industrial Estate, with capacity to store 30 boats of up to 20 metres long. It was designed specifically for large boats, with all the latest innovations in marine construction.
Back on the Mahón site, 2019 saw the launch of Boat Showroom, known as El Salón Náutico de Menorca in Spanish. This warehouse measures 1,500 m2 and sits beside Nautic Center’s main headquarters. The Showroom displays more than 30 boats, so that clients can view the entire range of brands that we hold the exclusive dealerships for on the island. However, not only was the Boat Showroom launched, but we also set up the Suzuki warehouse, with an overall surface area of 1,400 m2 dedicated exclusively to the maintenance of Suzuki outboard engines. These engines are the ones installed in the semi-rigid craft manufactured by the prestigious Italian company Capelli. In addition, we started our Test Center service whereby clients can test-drive boats before purchasing them. This service is offered by our boat charter company, Nautic Fun Menorca.
The company has a total of over 30,000 m2 land facilities providing a wide range of services in the Balearic Islands in addition to all the necessary service for boat owners who choose Menorca as a destination or port of call while they are cruising in Mediterranean waters.
